The 3rd Annual Chattahoochee Valley Writers' Conference in Columbus, Georgia is scheduled for September 24 through 26, 2009. Poetry Readings will be the evening of Thursday, September 24. The Keynote Session will be Friday evening, September 25 at 7 P.M. All workshops will be on Saturday, September 26. No sessions are planned for Sunday, September 27. Book signings by Workshop faculty will occur Saturday from 9:15 A.M until 6:00 P.M.
Jill McCorkle will be the Friday evening keynote speaker - "The Life of a Story". She will speak at 7:00 P.M. in the auditorium of the main branch of the Columbus Public Library. The program will be open to the public. Jill will sign books prior to her keynote address, beginning at 6:30 P.M.

Callie McGinnis and Lynn Willoughby will lead a workshop on "Turning Your Family History Into A Book."
Nick Norwood will lead a workshop on poetry.
Clela Dyess Reed will lead a poetry workshop entitled "The Equinox of Poetry: A Fine Balance".
The Historical Fiction/Nonfiction workshop will be led by Richard Hyatt.
The Memoir Writing workshop will be led by Karen McElmurray.
The Writing & Selling a Thriller workshop will be led by Andy Harp.
David Johnson will lead a workshop entitled "Creating a Dramatic Voice".
Writing a Manuscript for Today's Market will be presented by Stephany Evans.
Richard Hyatt will offer a workshop on Historical Fiction/Nonfiction.
Registration fees for the 2009 Conference are:
General Registration until September 1: $50.00
General Registration after September 1: $65.00
Senior Citizens (65+ yrs), Active Duty Military, Young People (under 19 years of age) & College Students: $40.00.
A box lunch for the conference is available for $10.00, payable at the time of registration. Box lunches must be ordered no later than September 22.
